Winners in 2011 of the 4th National Competition “WALTEX JAZZ COMPETITION” Perugia, get production from distribution EGEA radar with their first album “Jokes in the sky“, a project that includes the mixture of classic sounds with those of Jazz. All original songs.

On the occasion of the award ceremony Waltex Jazz Competition they performed at the Oratory of St. Cecilia Perugia.

In 2011 they perform at the XXXII edition of the “FESTIVAL DELLE COLLINE” in Prato – Italy. Finalists in several international competitions: Barga Jazz 2009, Fara Music Festival 2013.

In 2012 they present CD “Jokes in the sky” in VIENNA in prestigious venues: Bösendorfer Saal at Mozart’s House, and the Kaisersaal Galerie im Klavier Galerie recording new CD – Live in Vienna.

The CD “Jokes in the sky” is presented in several radio broadcasts: PRIMO MOVIMENTO (Rai- Radio3) interview and presentation of two pieces RADIO CLASSICA Milan.

“Jokes in the sky” had reviews in the music magazine SOUND, April 2012.

In 2013 they produced their second CD: “La Stanza delle Marionette“. All the tunes are original compositions. Sound engineers: Luca Toffani and Claudio Torelli.

Finalist at the 17th Annual USA Songwriting Competition “INSTRUMENTAL” category with the song Osvald Variation’s (Alberto Bellavia – Roberto Rebufello),

The Duet are the only Italian musicians among the ten finalists performed and recorded at the concert in Vienna at the Kaisersaal to Klavier Galerie Osvald’s Variation: Alberto Bellavia: Piano – Roberto Rebufello: Soprano Sax

In May 2014 they produced their third CD:”The Duet LIVE“.

In February 2014 they made a tour in the United States: William A Morris School – Staten Island – New York, Church Street School for Music and Art – New York and their debut at CARNEGIE HALL – Weill Recital Hall – New York to great acclaim from audiences and critics.

In 2015 they played at ISIM Festival 2015 -International Society for Improvised Music- in Château d’Oex, Switzerland, and at the Jazz Templi D’Avignon 2015, France.

In 2018 The Duet won third prize at international competition “LES MUSICALES DU CENTRE” (Paris) category – Improvisation

In 2017 The Duet start a new project with the French drummer Philippe d’Ercole and they recorded the new album “First Rain“.

In 2018 The Duet and Philip d’Ercole performed in a series of concerts in France.

in 2019 They held a Masterclass as a teacher about “Improvisation and composition” at Conservatory N. Paganini (Genova).

The music of The Duet as a consequence of more than twelve years spent playing together, through different experiences in classical music and jazz music, with the aim to experiment personal ideas in the attempt to fuse sounds of music of ‘900 with jazz.
